How do I book OverTone?
Start by reaching out through our contact form or email us at overtonebooking@gmail.com with your date and event details. We’ll check availability, talk through your plans, and get everything moving.
What’s required to secure our date?
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send over an agreement. Your date is officially secured once the agreement is signed and your deposit is received.
Do you play weddings, corporate events, and private parties?
Absolutely. Weddings, corporate events, private parties, festivals, nights out. If there’s a reason to celebrate, we’re in.
Do you travel?
We’re based in Boston and play all over New England. If your event is a little farther out, we can usually make it happen.
Do you coordinate with our planner or venue?
Yes. We work closely with your planner, venue, and vendors to make sure everything runs smoothly. You get to enjoy the night, we’ll handle the details.
What time do you arrive and set up?
We typically arrive about 1.5–2 hours before start time to get everything set, soundchecked, and ready to go. By the time guests arrive, we’re locked in and ready.
How much space do you need?
We’re flexible, but about 12’ x 16’ is ideal for our full setup. If you’ve got more room, we’ll make the most of it.
Can you act as the MC for our wedding or event?
We’ve got you. From introductions to first dances to key moments throughout the night, we keep things smooth, organized, and right on cue.
Can we use your sound system for speeches?
Of course. We provide a wireless mic and full sound setup so every toast and speech comes through loud and clear.
Do you provide music for cocktail hour and dinner?
We do. Whether it’s curated playlists or setting the tone early in the night, everything flows naturally into the reception.
Can we choose the music?
Yes. Share your must-play songs, your “please don’t play this,” and the overall direction you want the night to go. We’ll build a set that keeps people on the dance floor and the energy right where it should be.
Can we see your full song list?
Yes. We have a full song list you can look through, and you’re always welcome to highlight favorites.
Do you learn first dance or special songs?
Definitely. First dances, parent dances, or any meaningful song you want to include, just give us a heads up and we’ll take care of it.
Do you play music between sets?
Yes. When we take a break, the music doesn’t. Everything keeps moving so there’s no drop in momentum.
Do you take requests during the event?
We read the room as the night unfolds. If a request fits the moment and keeps things moving, we’ll work it in.
How long do you play for?
Most events include 2–3+ hours of live music, with short breaks built in so the night keeps its momentum.
Can you stay later if the party’s still going?
If the dance floor’s packed and you’re not ready to end it, we can usually add extra time. Just check in with us during the night and we’ll keep it going if possible.
